Details

Developed in conjunction with freeride legend Matt Jones, and designed to conquer the roughest and tumble trails of Marin County, the San Quentin collection lives up to the notoriety of its namesake. Blending the strength and style of dirt jump frames with the natural trail-savvy of an aggressive hardtail, the San Quentin family is the perfect mash-up for the modern trail rider.

The San Quentin's dialed frame geometry means it's perfect to send down singletrack or rocky trails, yet it's light enough to not destroy you on the way back up. Built around a stout aluminum frame, burly tires, and an aggressive geometry, the result is a bike that will bring back the hardtail buzz. The slack head tube angle paired with a steep seat tube angle creates a balanced rider position that puts your weight between the wheels. The result is perfect front wheel precision on the climbs, and the stability to descend like it’s on rails, pulling through corners with an intuitive feel. The bike's massive standover, slick frame tubes, and fantastic paint job really make it stand out. With ISCG05 tabs for maximum chain retention and the ability to run up to a 2.6-inch wide tire, the San Quentin is built for the new aggressive trail standard.

- RockShox Revelation RC fork
- X-Fusion Manic dropper seatpost
- Vee Flow Snap 2.6-inch folding bead tires

Dropper posts

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.

Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.

Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.
